2011 DUHS National Nurses Week activities

Friday, May 6

6:30-8:30am: (DRH) Kick-off Celebration: coffee/donuts, with decorations at ED and main employee entrance.
8am-5pm: (DUH) Nurse Recruitment delivers individual gifts to each unit. (Deliveries begin Thursday, May 5.)
11am-1pm: (DRAH) Gift distribution in café.
11:30am-1:30pm: (DUH) 2011 FON Needs Assessment Survey, trinkets and raffle entries at North & South cafeteria tables.
7pm: (DRH) Donuts delivered to units.
(DRAH) Box lunches for AM/PM staff.
All week: (DRH) Pastoral Services performs "Blessing of the Hands" for nursing units.
All week: (DRAH) Daily drawings for a “surprise gift.”

Saturday, May 7

6:30-8am: (DUH) Grab-n-Go donuts for night staff; 2011 FON Needs Assessment Survey, trinkets and raffle entries, T-Level lobby in front of hospital elevators.
11am-1pm: (DRAH) Gift distribution in café.
(DRAH) Box Lunches for AM/PM Staff.

Monday, May 9

6:30-9am: (DRH) Human Resources pancake breakfast; nursing research displays in Regional Café.
11am: (DRH) Nursing Education presents Partners in Practice Awards in auditorium.
11:30am-1:30pm: (DUH) 2011 FON Needs Assessment Survey, trinkets and raffle entries at North & South cafeteria tables.
5-6:30pm: (DRH) Human Resources pancake breakfast; nursing research displays in Regional Café.
(DUH) Nurse Recruitment distributes cookies and popcorn.
7-9pm: (DRAH) Gift distribution in café.
Midnight-4am: (DRH) Human Resources pancake breakfast; nursing research displays in Regional Café.

Tuesday, May 10

10am-2pm: (DUH) International Nurses Committee and HAND: International Festival; informational displays and entertainment in Duke North courtyard.
11:15am-2pm: (DRH) Strawberry Shortcake in Regional Café.
11:30am-2:30pm: (DRH) Employee Development Fair in PDRs A&B.
5-6:30pm: (DRH) Strawberry Shortcake in Regional Café.
Midnight-4am: (DRH) Strawberry Shortcake in Regional Café.

Wednesday, May 11

10-11am: (DRH) FON presents How to Stay Energized in a Changing World (Greg Risberg), auditorium; no registration required.
