Duke University’s Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority will hold a 5K walk and run on Saturday, Oct. 17, to benefit Camp Kaleidoscope, a special camp
run by Duke Children’s Hospital that allows sick kids to enjoy the same activities and freedom as other campers.

The event will be held at the Al Buehler Cross Country Trail near the Washington Duke Inn.

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. on the grassy field near Science Drive. Parking is in the gravel lot. The race will begin at 11 a.m., after which there will be an awards ceremony and a raffle of gift certificates and prizes from local businesses and restaurants.

The cost of pre-registration is $12; registration that morning costs $15. T-shirts will be on sale for $17. Registration and a T-shirt are $25. All of the proceeds will benefit Camp K.

During the week leading up to the race (Oct.12-16), Kappa Kappa Gamma will have tables on the Bryan Center walkway on West Campus for pre-registration and sale of T-shirts and raffle tickets.
