Alzheimer’s Breakthrough Ride

posted April 19th, 2010

From September 19 to the 21st, Charles Loughlin and Rev. Henry Edmonds, from the staff of the Joseph and Kathleen Bryan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center are participating in the Alzheimer's Breakthrough Ride, a relay-style bicycle tour from California to the Capital in Washington, DC to raise awareness and much needed funds for the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Loughlin and Edmonds will be riding the segment of the ride from Philadelphia to Washington, DC., collecting signatures along the way in support of the Alzheimer’s Breakthrough Act Legislation. This legislation calls for a significant increase in funding for Alzheimer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), bringing total funding up to $2 billion.

All members of the Duke family are asked to join Loughlin and Edmonds on Team Bryan ADRC by making a generous contribution today. It will take all of us working together to make a difference.

It's easy to give online by following the link below. Together, we can help end Alzheimer's!
