Be a part of the 2010 Duke Medicine Komen Race for the Cure® Team

Join us in the 14th Annual Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure® by being a member of the Duke Medicine walk/run team!

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 12 on the campus of Meredith College in Raleigh and will feature festivities celebrating the Triangle’s 14th year in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer and breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year, Duke Medicine is the Presenting Sponsor. The Race includes a competitive, co-ed 5K, women's-only recreational 5K, co-ed recreational 5K, a KidZone and a variety of tributes and special events that celebrate survivorship.

You can show your support by being a team captain and/or walker on the Duke Medicine Team. Team captains help recruit a minimum of 10 walkers to their team and assist in planning fundraisers for the event. Team captains will also compete to see who can recruit the most walkers for the chance to win a prize. Last year, we had more than 350 Duke Medicine Team members!

This year’s Duke Medicine team will receive a free team T-shirt.

Currently, we are recruiting team captains and walkers/runners for this year’s team. We look forward to having those of you who have served as team captains and walker/runners in the past, as well as new recruits, join us.
