Boyarsky lecture Oct. 1
posted September 29th, 2008Healing the American health care system is the focus of a free, public lecture Oct. 1 at Duke’s Nasher Museum of Art.
Ezekiel J. Emanuel, M.D., Ph.D., chairman of the department of bioethics at the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health, will discuss “Beyond Band Aids: Curing the Sick American Health Care System.”
The 2008 Boyarsky Lecture in Law, Medicine and Ethics begins at 5:45 p.m. A reception follows.
Emanuel is one of the nation’s leading authorities on bioethics, and has been published widely on topics including the ethics of clinical research and health care reform.
The lecture is part of the Oct. 1-2 Boyarsky Lecture & Symposium on Health Care Reform.
