ski-injuryHeading to the slopes this winter?  Interested in skiing but afraid of hurting yourself? Then this class is for you!

Join Claude T. Moorman III, M.D., director of Duke Sports Medicine, for an instructive class on “knee-friendly” skiing at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at REI in Durham.

Learn about the “Phantom Foot” phenomenon that is responsible for most ACL injuries and how to fall properly as to avoid the injuries.

The class will include a slide/video presentation with a question and answer session at the end. There will also be a ski-injury pre and post-test to help with self-assessment of the material.
