Doctors to shave heads to support pediatric cancer patients

posted March 18th, 2010

Seven physicians from Duke Pediatric Hematology-Oncology will be joining 30 members of the Duke Men's Rugby team (led by head coach Jay Wisse) to shave their heads in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research.

The event, also in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation,  will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 19, in the McGovern-Davison Children’s Health Center.
