DRAH welcomes Pam Laumakis, orthopaedics nurse manager

There is a new face on the 3rd floor at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Duke Raleigh Nursing Department is pleased to welcome Pam Laumakis as Nurse Manager for our Orthopedic Unit.

A native of Maryville, TN, Pam comes to us from Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia where she has served as the Nurse Manager of General Surgery and Orthopedics. In addition, Pam has experience in performance improvement and as a clinical educator.

Pam completed her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Auburn University. She will join the DRAH Nursing Leadership team on February 8th, 2010.

“Duke has a great reputation for its quality services, and I’m very pleased to join this team of welcoming and caring individuals,” said Pam. “I was also very impressed by Duke Raleigh’s Magnet Status.”

In her spare time, Laumakis enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking among other hobbies.

She and her husband reside in Raleigh.
