DRH events remember King’s life

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., employees will present skits about diversity in the Regional Café during lunchtime.

January 18-22
Durham Regional will host a series of events to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the week of January 18. These events, which are free to DRH employees and the community, will include a coordinated volunteer effort on the MLK Holiday, a unity breakfast, candlelight vigil, lunch and learn and a Musical Extravaganza.
DRH Day of Service: Volunteering at CAARE Clinic, a clinic for uninsured in located at 214 Broadway Street in Durham, January 18

MLK Chapel Service, January 19, 1 pm, DRH Chapel
Candlelight Vigil: January 19, 5 pm, Hospital Lobby (3rd floor)
Unity Breakfast: January 20, 8:30 am, DRH Auditorium. Keynote: Abdullah T. Antepli, Duke University. Antepli, who is the first Muslim Chaplain for Duke University, began at Duke in 2008 and is the founder and executive board member of the Muslim Chaplains Association and a member of the National Association of College and University Chaplains.
Lunch and Learn Panel Discussion About Uninsured/Underinsured in Durham, January 21, noon-1 pm, First Level Classroom
Musical Extravaganza, January 22, 7 pm, DRH Auditorium
