Duke Raleigh named one of the best
posted September 22nd, 2008Duke Raleigh Hospital was named one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare, a leading publication of health care news.
“We are extremely proud for Duke Raleigh to receive this national recognition,” said Doug Vinsel, chief executive officer of Duke Raleigh Hospital. “It reflects the collaborative efforts across our organization to continually seek ways to better serve our employees, all who work to provide the best care to our patients every day.”
The complete list will be published in a special supplement issue of the magazine on Oct. 27. A gala will also be held to honor this year’s winners on Oct. 29 in Chicago.
Modern Healthcare partnered with Best Companies Group to collect information from both the employer and employees of each organization. Employers completed a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Randomly selected employees were additionally asked an in-depth set of questions in eight areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction.
