posted February 5th, 2009Duke faculty and staff can save up to $3 off tickets for the RBC Center’s Women’s Empowerment 2009. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m.- 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
The deadline to order tickets is Feb. 20. Order tickets with this form.
The event targets African American women of all ages. Now in its 15th year, Women’s Empowerment has been educating and engaging women on financial strategies, business, career, beauty, health and wellness issues.
Events include a fashion show, a vendor pavilion, seminars, and performances by national recording artists and celebrity autograph sessions.
The keynote speaker for Women’s Empowerment 2009 is R&B singer/songwriter Keyshia Cole.
Other guests and performers include: Vickie Winans, Jeff Majors, James Fortune, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and Lashell Griffin.
