Medical Spanish classes, spring 2010
posted March 10th, 2010Classes geared toward spoken Spanish and tailored to your needs.
April 19 through June 24, 10-week courses are offered by El Centro Hispano in collaboration with Duke School of Nursing and the Latino Health Project at Duke University.
Two-hour classes will be held weekly as follows:
Level 1
No previous Spanish knowledge required
Thursday 5:30 - 7:30 – at Duke South Clinic, Durham, NC 27710
Monday 3:30 - 5:30 - at Durham Regional Hospital, Durham, NC 27704
Level 2
Prerequisites: basic grammar, simple medical dialogues
Monday 5:30 - 7:30 - at Duke South Clinic
Wednesday 3:30 -5:30 - at Durham Regional Hospital
Level 3
Prerequisites: verbs present tense, numbers, direct and indirect pronouns and medical vocabulary
Tuesday 5:30-7:30 - at Duke South Clinic
Level 4
Prerequisites: verbs past tense and command, idiomatic expressions, medical vocabulary
Wednesday 5:30 - 7:30 – at Duke South Clinic
Level 5
Thursday 5:30 -7:30 – at Duke South Clinic
The cost is $200 per student**. Book not included.
