Nighttime lane closures coming Dec. 7-11 on I-40 and N.C. 147
posted December 7th, 2010Lane closures will be in place nightly on both I-40 and N.C. 147 (Durham Freeway) beginning Tuesday, Dec. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 11.
The I-40 closures will take place between Airport Boulevard and N.C. 55 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The N.C. 147 closures will be in effect from I-40 to just past Alexander Drive from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. During these times, no more than one lane in each direction will be closed, and traffic will be restored to its normal pattern at the end of each night.
Work is weather-dependent and additional closures will be required over the next several months as crews install guardrail and overhead signs in conjunction with the N.C. Turnpike Authority's Triangle Parkway project.
