Pharmacy resident program receives accreditation
posted January 14th, 2010The Durham Regional Pharmacy Department attained accreditation for the Post Graduate Year 1 residency program from The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Any healthcare entity that is a site for a pharmacy residency chooses to go through the accreditation process to ensure that standards are met. The standards relate to both the residency training program as well as the Pharmacy department and how it functions, including services offered by the department, the relationship to other hospital departments and how the department functions to provide patient care.
