Rounds session on improving LGBT care

Makadon, M.D., clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and director of education and training at The Fenway Institute, will present “Ending Invisibility: Better Care for the LGBT Community” at 8 a.m. Dec. 5 during the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds, Room 2002 Duke North.
This talk will focus on population demographics of the LGBT community, obtaining a history from sexual minorities, unique clinical issues pertaining to the LGBT community, and creating a welcoming environment for LGBT patients, students, and staff.
All are welcome to attend.
The talk is supported by the Department of Medicine, the School of Medicine Office for Faculty Development, the Office for Institutional Equity, and the LGBT Task Force.
