Transit, parking adjustments coming during the holidays
posted December 13th, 2011Parking and Transportation Services will adjust its transit schedule and parking lot availability during the holidays. From Dec. 24 through Dec. 26, Duke will not run any bus routes.
In addition, adjustments will be made to Duke transit schedules during winter break from Dec. 19 to Jan. 11. During this time, most bus routes will provide regular service with the following changes:
- the C-1 bus route will not operate
- the C-2 route will stop service at 9 p.m.
- weekend campus service will not operate until all routes return to the regular schedule on Jan. 11.
The LaSalle Loop will have regular service from Dec. 27 to 29, but will not run between Dec. 30 and Jan. 2. During those dates, LaSalle Loop service will stop at 9 p.m. Duke vans will also be available on a limited basis between Dec. 27 and Dec. 29.
Parking at Duke will also be adjusted, allowing for free parking in all patient and visitor areas of PG1, PG2, PG3 and the eye Center lot from Dec. 24 to 26.
From Dec. 27 to 29, PG1 and PG2 will resume normal permitted parking from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. During that time, the Eye Center lot at Research Drive garage will operate on its regular schedule. PG3 will continue to be free.
During Duke's winter break, PG4 will first have normal permitted parking from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Dec. 19 and 22 before opening for free parking between Dec. 23 and Jan. 2, except for times when special events occur. Fees will be charged during special events.
The Parking and Transportation Services at 2010 Campus Drive and Duke Clinics will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2 for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Regular hours will resume Jan. 3.
