Dr. Discount: Save on women’s NCAA hoops tickets
posted March 18th, 2010Duke employees can join the Cameron Crazies for March Madness this weekend with discount tickets to the NCAA women's basketball tournament at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Duke, one of 16 host locations for the tournament, will feature three total first- and second-round games on Saturday, March 20, and Monday, March 22. Employees save 20 percent on tickets and pay $21 for general admission adult tickets, or $13 for general admission children/senior tickets to all three games. Single game discount tickets are $8 each for all general admission tickets.
"Obviously, we have tremendous excitement and pride hosting the tournament this year, especially for our fans and the opportunity to have great women's basketball in the Triangle" said Duke women's basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie. "It's an exciting tournament, and to be successful in the tournament, you have to win six games. All you can do is stick with game one. So we now have our game one, and then we go from there."
At noon March 20, Louisiana State University plays Hartford University in Cameron, and Duke plays Hampton University at 2:30 p.m. Winners of each game play again in Cameron at 7 p.m. March 22 for a spot in the Sweet 16.
The Blue Devils are seeded second in the Memphis region of 2010 NCAA Tournament after winning the ACC Championship. To purchase tickets call (919) 681-BLUE, go online to goduke.com or stop by the Duke Ticket Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through Friday in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Tickets will also be available the day of each game.
