2010 Pediatric Day of Remembrance, June 26
June 26th, 2010The Duke Pediatric Palliative Care Program and the End of Life and Bereavement Committee invite you to attend a Day of Remembrance for pediatric patients treated at Duke who died in the last two years.
An event like this, just for pediatric patients and families has not happened in quite some time at Duke. Staff participation is vitally important to the success of this day and for healing within ourselves and for families. Feedback forms from previous services highlight how wonderful it was for families to reconnect with the staff members that cared for their child.

1:00 – 1:45 Welcome and Registration
A time to renew acquaintances with other families and staff. There will be an opportunity for memento making, children’s activities, and a time for placing items on the memory tables.
2:00 – 3:00 Service of Remembrance
Slideshow and Candle Lighting Ceremony
3:00 – 4:00 Reception
Refreshments will be served.
