Discussions highlight National Healthcare Decision Day
April 11th, 2011Do you know what healthcare treatments you would and would not want if you could not speak for yourself? Do other people know what your wishes are? The 3rd Annual National Healthcare Decision Day will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011. This nationally recognized day is for all people, regardless of age or current health status, to be reminded of the importance of making their healthcare wishes known to loved ones and their care providers.
As part of the week of activities, Tiffany Christensen and Tony Galanos, MD will present ‘Conversations’ on April 13 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM in Duke Hospital room 2001. Information on patient advocacy and advanced care planning will be on display in the MARS display case throughout the week, and information tables will be set up as follows:
