His smile, kind words, gentle conversation and genuine care shows through. As a family member, I could tell he honestly cares about his patients.
Andrew Bates, PRN, a clinical nurse on Unit 2300 at DUH, is complimented by a patient's daughter.
"My mother had the pleasure of being the patient of Andrew Bates. She really appreciated his kindness and his sense of urgency on her behalf. Andrew would notice the small things like when she needed to be pulled up in the bed and when her pad was wrinkled. He always asked if there was anything else he could do to help her be more comfortable. His smile, kind words, gentle conversation and genuine care shows through. As a family member, I could tell he honestly cares about his patients. It was a great comfort to me."
