Beverly Wright and Roger Collins: Protecting the lives of patients and staff

Working extremely hard, they help protect the life of our patients, visitors and staff.

The colleagues and co-workers of Beverly Wright and Roger Collins appreciate their superb job in coordinating the November BLS Blitz.

"These life support experts have created a smooth system of BLS registration and classroom time that allowed 1,156 people to re-certify their basic life support credentials in November 2009. Roger Collins and Beverly Wright graciously handled issues and problems; provided support and direction to the instructors; and kept the process flowing smoothly. In April 2009, 1,600 people were re-certified for basic life support! Bev and Roger constantly try to improve the system; so, the November Blitz was even better than the one last April. Including the Blitzes (four each year at DUH and DRH); they coordinate over 550 hours of life support time in a six month period! That means that at least 3,000 DUH employees in six months may participate in BLS Orientation, ACLS Provider and Renewal, PALS Provider and Renewal, and instructor trainings. Often, Roger and Bev have to jump in as instructors when the original faculty plan has not worked out. Working extremely hard, they help protect the life of our patients, visitors and staff. Thank you, Roger and Bev!"
