The Clerical Staff at Duke Otolaryngology received a quarterly team Strength, Hope and Caring Award.

The Duke Otolaryngology clerical staff were nominated by their practice manager, Kim Britton, who commended them on their caring and helpful attitudes toward their patients. Kim referenced a letter written by a patient who stated that she came in frightened and scared and it was one of the front desk staff who put her at ease. Another patient wrote a note stating that he had been at the clinic a long time and one of the front desk staff offered him a snack and made sure that he was comfortable during his wait. Kim said that they always go out of their way to make sure their patients are satisfied.
