Duke Raleigh Cancer Center is recognized by Carrie Byrns for its commitment to teamwork.
"They are truly a group that consistently works together to provide the most loving care to their patients and to each other. They are always willing to listen, volunteer and help one another everyday. We recently started a lunch bunch formulated by our Patient Service Excellence representative Cindy Downing. the Cancer Center was divided into groups and each month a group is responsible for setting up a lunch for the rest of the Cancer Center. Last week was a luau under captain Tracy Hausfeld. This has brought the Cancer Center together every month and has been remarkable for great teamwork. I am truly lucky to be a part of this team."
