I highly recommend Durham Regional's staff and I would put them up against any other hospital in the country.
Durham Regional Hospital received a big thank you for a patient's spouse.
"I took my husband to Durham Regional Hospital Emergency Room. He was very ill and we were seen immediately. I would like to make sure that the following people are recognized for the excellent care, compassion, customer service and treatment that my husband received. Dr. Paul Austin, Dr. Rami Abdo, Joy Tyson, RN, Candice Toy, and the EMT who was on staff -- those people worked like a well oiled machine in treating my husband. They took the time to sit down and explain to us every detail of what they were doing. Even taking the time to draw pictures for us so that we understood what they were talking about. No question we had went unanswered. Nothing was too much trouble. They acted like my husband was their own family member and they also took the time to put me at ease and kept me informed every step of the way in his treatment. My husband was seen by various technicians and doctors during his entire stay until he was discharged. He received wonderful care and courtesy from them all. These people went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. Please let them know how much we appreciate what they did for us. I highly recommend Durham Regional's staff and I would put them up against any other hospital in the country. Please let them know how grateful we are and please make sure that they are commended for their service. There are truly angels of mercy at Durham Regional.
