Jimmie Broschinsk: Going above the call of duty to help others

Every time I see Jimmie, she is there with a smile and a helping hand.

Jimmie Broschinski, Duke Neurology/Neurosurgery of Raleigh, received an administrative quarterly Strength, Hope & Caring Award.

Jimmie Broschinski truly went above and beyond her job by helping a new clinic and new employees acclimate to the Duke system. Duke General Surgery of Raleigh joined the CPDC and was located near Jimmie’s practices. Jimmie was more than willing to give her time and share her knowledge to help the new employees feel welcome at Duke. The new employees cannot stop singing her praises and are extremely grateful for having Jimmie as a resource for them. Jimmie’s help began when she and her staff volunteered to answer the general surgery practice’s phone calls while the employees were in training. During the first days as an official Duke clinic, Jimmie was by their side making sure all of their needs were met and questions were answered. She regularly checked on them to make sure everything was going smoothly. She was not required to provide help to this practice, but she chose to go above the call of duty. Every time I see Jimmie, she is there with a smile and a helping hand.
