Lashawanda Richardson: A blessing to Duke

An elderly man sitting several tables away from Lashawanda knocked his drink over; she got up from her lunch, gathered napkins and helped him clean up the mess.
Lashawanda Richardson, received a clinical quarterly Strength, Hope & Caring Award.
Lashawanda was nominated by a patient with a wound vac who was having a difficult time sitting in the waiting area. Lashawnda made arrangements for an area where she could lie down while she waited to be seen. The patient added that later, after she was seen, they noticed Lashawanda in the food court eating lunch with a colleague. An elderly man sitting several tables away from Lashawanda knocked his drink over; she got up from her lunch, gathered napkins and helped him clean up the mess. The patient added that she is “a blessing” to Duke.
