Maisha O’Neal: ‘A miracle out of a hat’
posted October 3rd, 2008Belinda Wisdom, a new employee at the Duke University School of Nursing, has high praise for Maisha O’Neal of Duke-affiliated Triangle Family Practice for going above and beyond the call of duty in helping her find a physician:
“I am a new employee at Duke School of Nursing and have been in despair in my attempts to locate a physician. (I moved to N.C. from Maryland.) ... After a stressful two days of this, I ended up speaking with Maisha O’Neal somehow. This woman was a true blessing to me because she went far beyond her call of duty to assist me in finding a physician and getting me seen. She took my name and number and checked back with me repeatedly to inform me of her progress in trying to find me a doctor ... She was friendly, courteous and genuinely cared. She pulled a miracle out of a hat and found me a physician and was able to get me an appointment this month. I recognize that she did not have to do what she did—this was not her job, but she did it anyway and for this I am grateful. She should be commended for her exemplary customer service.”
