Matthew Turrentine: An outstanding example to others

I want to commend Matthew Turrentine for his outstanding customer service, professionalism and people-centered skills which he possesses and demonstrates in working with the patients of Duke Women's Health Associates.

Matthew Turrentine, a financial care counselor at Duke Women's Health Associates in Brier Creek, is truly an outstanding example of what "going the extra mile" means.

Ana Quinn, associate director of Business Development at Duke's Fuqua School of Business and a patient of Dr. Angel Nieves, said:

"I want to commend Matthew Turrentine for his outstanding customer service, professionalism and people-centered skills which he possesses and demonstrates in working with the patients of Duke Women's Health Associates. I had an office visit several weeks ago with Dr. Nieves which resulted in additional tests needing to be scheduled in a very short time frame. Matthew was extremely sensitive to the situation and took care of everything in a stellar fashion, always keeping me informed.

Earlier this week, I was scheduled for an additional procedure. As one might expect, things did not go as planned. Matthew once again rose to the occasion, took care of matters and rescheduled accordingly, maintaining his high level of professionalism.

Often, people focus in highlighting what individuals do not do in servicing patients. I always like to take the time to recognize those who go the extra mile. You are very fortunate to have Matthew on your staff. I feel he is a true asset to your organization."
