Megan Smith: Helping patients find their way

We were hopelessly lost and a savior showed up to help us!
Megan Smith, a patient advocate, received a compliment from a patient's spouse.
"We were hopelessly lost and a savior showed up to help us! Her name is Megan Smith. It was after 5 p.m. (We assumed she was probably getting ready to leave her office for the day.) and she spent some time with us, helping us find our way out of the facility and arranged for a shuttle service to get us back to our parking garage. She even gave us a mini tour and an overview of all the buildings. Megan was terrific that day and is a reflection of the professional, caring staff we have encountered at Duke to date. She even offered a business card if we needed help in the future."
