Richard Goldner: Going the extra mile for patients

richard-goldner200Richard Goldner, M.D., Clinic 1F, received a Provider Strength, Hope & Caring Award.

Dr. Goldner was nominated by July Hepler, one of our interpreters who stated that “once again, as he has done several times in the past, went the extra mile to make certain his patient was receiving the worker’s compensation payments that he should be receiving”. Judy stated that this patient was receiving no money and had to borrow money from friends for food. Dr. Goldner made additional phone calls and provided the name and contact information for the insurance company who should have been paying him. Judy went on to say that “this is not the first time that Dr. Goldner has taken extra interest in the problems of his patients” and that she has “not been with any other doctor who does this, the additional issues are normally dismissed or ignored. We are very thankful that Dr. Goldner takes the extra few minutes to truly care for his Hispanic patients.”
