Telemetry unit: Group hug for fine care

posted October 1st, 2008

Durham Regional Hospital’s Unit 5-2/Telemetry offered everything a patient’s family could ask, and more:

“Thank you so much to Unit 5-2/Telemetry for the exceptional patient care that you gave my father during his stay at Durham Regional Hospital. All of your staff (especially Kay Kostelny, health unit coordinator) and doctors (Dr. Vanosia Faison, Dr. Dennis College and physician assistant Blaine Hall) were exceptional in their patient care.

My husband and I both work in patient care related fields at major hospitals, so we are familiar with what patient care is all about. We were very impressed with the patient care my father received while there, also they treated us well, too. The doctors were great in responding quickly to patient needs and to the family needs as well. We could tell that everyone there was proactive, had great public relations, were self-motivated and did a great job following up with patient and with the family.

It is nice to know that in time of need such as sickness or major medical issues, that there are people in the medical field that are compassionate and understanding of what you are going through and passionate about their job. Again, thank you so much for your love and dedication in patient care.”
