2010 Men’s Cake Bake a success

On Wednesday, July 28, Duke Raleigh Hospital employees participated in the 2010 Men’s Cake Bake.

Employees and visitors cast their vote for their favorite cakes, by donating $1 to each baker. All proceeds from the event went to the 2010 Start! Heart Walk, hosted by the American Heart Association.

The Men’s Cake Bake raised $1,231 for the race.

An “Ambulance” cake made by Dr. Charles Hodges, hospitalist at Duke Raleigh, was the most popular.

A “Duke Championship” cake made by Lee Craddock, imaging manager, received an honorable mention award for being most creative.

Duke Medicine is a local sponsor of this year’s race.
