AHA chair-elect presents DUH with McKesson citation of merit

John W. Bluford, chair-elect of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees, presents DUH with the 2009 McKesson Quest for Quality citation of merit for its leadership and innovation in quality, safety and commitment to patient care.

Accepting are DUH CEO Kevin Sowers, RN, MSN, and Mary Ann Fuchs, RN, chief nursing and patient care services officer. DUH was honored for engaging front-line caregivers and sharing information about patient safety in creating the cornerstones of its commitment to care improvement. Senior leadership also was cited for its strong involvement and for emphasizing strong physician and nurse team leadership, as was DUH's collaborative, interdisciplinary patient care approach.  For more information.
