CHC’s holiday cards on sale now
posted November 3rd, 2010Coach Mike Krzyzewski, chairman of the Duke Children's Card program, unveiled the 2010 Greeting Card Collection along with the artists on November 3.
The artists described their artwork and their motivation to participate.
"I feel happy that my artwork can help the children that have to be in the hospital," said Kimberly Barbosa, of Holt Elementary School, who created the Winter Town card (picture at left). "My family was very excited and proud when my art was chosen."
The holiday cards you send this season could change the life of a sick child at Duke Childrens. The card program has brought more than $1.4 million to the pediatric programs at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. The 30th annual Duke Children's Card Series featuring holiday and all-occasion cards designed by young artists are on sale now.
The holiday cards are sold in packs of 20 (variety packs) for $15 at Harris Teeter, Barnes & Noble, Coastal Federal Credit Union, Duke Credit Union, the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, Duke University Stores and Duke Hospital gift shops.
The cards can also be ordered in any quantity and with personalized imprinting.
