Don’t forget to vote today!

<--!more-->

usa-flagToday is Election Day (you may have heard about it), so don’t forget to vote for all the local, state and national offices on the ballot.

The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. If you need information or have questions, you can call the Durham County Board of Elections at 560-0700 or visit its Web site.

Meanwhile, the first-ever year of early voting on the Duke campus ended Saturday evening with more than 9,300 people having cast ballots.

Durham easily broke county early voting records with 97,697 people casting early ballots, which is more than half of Durham’s adult population.

For information on Duke’s policies on taking time away from work to vote, go to http://www.hr.duke.edu/policies/time_away/voting/.
