On Oct. 29, Duke Raleigh Hospital administrators had a new look in support of the 2009 United Way Campaign. Employees were challenged to give to the campaign and help reach the 2009 goal and as a thank you administrators would dress up as selected characters.

Duke Raleigh Hospital Employees “Live United”

On October 2, the mercury on the United Way thermometer reached 100% on the Duke Raleigh Hospital lawn. Duke Raleigh employees united to surpass the campaign goal of $55,000, raising $66,141.30 with 38.2% participation for the 2009 United Way Campaign, entitled Live United.

The United Way campaign kick-off was held on September 21, with a cookout for employees. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers and a visit from Mike Wheless from the Q-Morning Crew with 94.7 WQDR.

Several fundraisers, including a pig-kissing contest and donut eating contest encouraged employees to complete pledge forms and make their personal commitment to the community.
