Duke Chapel’s performance of Handel’s “Messiah” to be broadcast on DUH TV
posted December 22nd, 2010Duke Pastoral Services is partnering with Duke Media Services to offer a special holiday gift dedicated to Duke University Hospital patients, families, visitors and staff.
The Duke Chapel performance of Handel’s “Messiah” is not to be missed and, for many in North Carolina, is an annual musical and religious highlight offered by the Duke Chapel Choir, Soloists, & Orchestra (Rodney Wynkoop, Conducting; David Arcus, Continuo).
This year, Duke Chapel & Duke Media Services taped the live, 2.5-hour performance (plus intermission) held Dec. 5 and, for the first time, will broadcast it for seven days on the Duke Hospital TV (channel 50).
