Duke Raleigh again sponsors Angel Tree
posted December 8th, 2008Many Duke Raleigh Hospital employees are eagerly checking off the lists of the boys and girls they have selected through the hospital’s 2nd-annual holiday Angel Tree program.
The program allows employees to sponsor a child through the Wake County Boys & Girls Club. Children up to age 16 are included in the program, and more than 100 children will receive holiday gifts thanks to Duke Raleigh employees.
Each child’s total gift cost should not exceed $25. Individuals can sponsor a child, and units or teams of employees can, too, to reduce costs to individuals.
Each child has indicated on a card what he or she would like to receive. Please do not wrap the gifts, since the parents enjoy doing that for their children. Gifts of wrapping paper, tape, ribbons, and bows are also appreciated.
Additionally, gifts of mittens, gloves, hats, and socks are welcome along with monetary donations made directly to Wake County Boys & Girls Club.
To inquire about sponsoring a child or making a contribution, please contact Janet Holliday-Cashwell at 954-3338 or Melissa Huffstetler at 862-5633.
