Duke Raleigh makes TBJ’s top workplaces list
posted September 29th, 2008Duke Raleigh Hospital has been named as one of the 2008 Best Places to Work in the Triangle by the Triangle Business Journal.
The award is based on team effectiveness, retention, senior leadership, organizational values and rewards and recognition.
“This distinction exemplifies the dedicated efforts of all of our employees to make Duke Raleigh a premier place to work and to take care of our patients,” said Doug Vinsel, CEO of Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Winners were chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research. Once nominated, a company needed to meet a threshold in employee participation—a percentage that varies based on the size of the company—to be eligible to be honored.
“These companies invest in their employees, garner trust among co-workers, manage effectively and create a highly valued culture. That is truly inspiring to other Triangle businesses,” says Triangle Business Journal publisher Char Grunwaldt.
All 45 winning companies are profiled in an in-depth special section in Triangle Business Journal’s Sept. 26 edition, now available on newsstands and to subscribers.
Earlier this month, Duke Raleigh Hospital was named one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare, a leading publication of health care news. Read more here.
The complete list will be published in a special supplement issue of the magazine on Oct. 27. A gala will be held to honor this year’s winners on Oct. 29 in Chicago.
