DukeALERT adds text messaging
posted August 4th, 2008Emergency text messaging, also known as SMS (short message service), is the latest in a series of steps Duke is taking to enable rapid and mass notification to faculty, staff and students in the event of an emergency.
The text messaging system is now available on an opt-in basis to all students, faculty and staff at Duke. Members of the Duke community can sign up for DukeALERT text messages by registering their mobile phone number here.
