Fest ends 2008 market

Celebrate the final Duke Farmers Market of 2008 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, with a Harvest Festival.

You can pick up some fresh produce and a healthy lunch. Vendors will sell painted gourds, photo cards, totes made of recycled plastic bags, specialty soaps and hand-rolled beeswax candles.

• Cooking demonstrations at 11:30 a.m. , 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m.
• Fresh roasted corn on the cob.
• Free blood pressure checks.
• Scan your badge for raffles selected during the market.

As always, the market will be held in front of the Medical Center Bookstore, just off the walkway linking Duke North and South.

The Duke Farmers Market, sponsored by Live for Life, began in 2001. It offers Duke faculty and staff fresh, locally grown produce.
