Forum mulls new face of modern healthcare

The Diversity Team at Duke Raleigh Hospital is hosting a symposium on Saturday, Nov. 1, about “The Changing Face of Healthcare.” The event, in the hospital cafe, is open to everyone in the health system and community.

Topics in Session I will be ethical dilemmas and help for the Wake County uninsured. Speaker on ethical dilemmas: Dr. Philip Rosoff. Speaker on the uninsured: Rosemary Brown.

Topics in Session II will be alternative/Integrative medicine and healthcare disparities. Speaker on alternative/integrative medicine: Rick Gannotta. Speaker on disparities: Rosa M. Solorzano.

Participants will select one topic in each session to attend.

The keynote speaker is Mina Silberberg.

Registration and breakfast are from 8:30-9 a.m. Keynote address: 9:05 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. Breakout Session I: 10-10:50 a.m. Breakout Session II: 11-11:50 a.m.
