Media Spotlight: CBS highlights Kurtzberg’s work with cord blood transplants

Joanne Kurtzberg, M.D., director of the Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant Program, is featured in this video about her work with cord blood transplants.
“We’re studying whether giving a child their own cord blood cells, which would have had to be saved when the child was born, can lessen the symptoms that might come from low oxygen at birth,” she said.
