Media Spotlight: WRAL features Duke research by Abernethy

This video highlights Duke research that shows supplemental oxygen might not help patients who routinely get it in a hospital or palliative care setting.
Amy Abernethy, M.D., an oncologist and palliative care expert in the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, said, "What we found was (that) delivering a medical gas – either oxygen or air – would improve shortness of breath for about half of people in the study.”
