Nov. 28: A day to share your stories

Join StoryCorps in the National Day of Listening

StoryCorps has declared Friday, Nov. 28, as the first National Day of Listening, a time to ask the people around you—a grandparent, a neighbor, a sibling, a friend, a co-worker—to tell you about their lives.

The independent nonprofit has helped more than 40,000 Americans record their stories in one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. StoryCorps stories are played on National Public Radio each week.

Stories are also a part of the Duke Medicine community, and Inside Online would like to hear yours—stories about you or your family that help explain why you work here at Duke. Just click on “comment” below.

Meanwhile, read about a 2006 StoryCorps visit to Durham.
