Sites and sounds from the final farmer’s market

The 2008 edition of the Duke Farmers Market ended Sept. 26 on a high note—literary—despite rainy skies and blustery winds. The band Boiled Cabbage kept things hopping with knee-slapping musical entertainment as people wandered from booth to booth sampling various foods, buying fresh local produce and checking out vendors’ array of goods.
