Victor J. Dzau, M.D., chancellor for health affairs and CEO for DUHS, thanked Duke Medicine military veterans for their service in a Veterans Day message:
“On this day that the country sets aside annually to recognize the immeasurable contributions of this country’s military service veterans, I want to thank all of the veterans who are now working within Duke Medicine for your selfless service to our nation. Your sacrifice and dedication are sincerely appreciated. I also want to thank your loved ones for their support and encouragement. We are very grateful to you and proud of what you have done on behalf of so many.
I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the families of Duke Medicine employees who have relatives or loved ones currently serving our country.
Please know that on this day of special meaning and recognition, our prayers and thoughts go out to you all.”
