Week honors physician assistants and their beginning at Duke

Justine Strand, MPH, PA-C, chief of the Physician Assistant Division in the Department of Community and Family Medicine, talks about the history the PA profession and its beginning with the Duke PA Program.

This week is National PA Week and in honor of Duke's PA Day, Oct. 6, when the first class of PA's graduated in 1967, the program will hold a reception for Duke University Medical Center and Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center on October 6.
